Preparation is Key

Before you start tiling, ensure you have all the necessary tools and materials. Measure your space accurately to determine the number of tiles you’ll need. Don’t forget to prepare your surface properly by cleaning and priming it to ensure the tiles adhere well.

Choose the Right Tiles

Selecting the right type of tiles for your project is crucial. Consider the area you’re tiling – for example, bathroom tiles need to be water-resistant, while kitchen tiles should be easy to clean. Visit our showroom to explore a wide range of tiles suitable for every space.

Cutting and Shaping Tiles

Invest in a good quality tile cutter and nippers to make precise cuts and shapes. Mark your tiles carefully before cutting to avoid mistakes. Remember, safety first – always wear protective gear when cutting tiles.

Laying the Tiles

Start from the center of your space and work your way outwards to ensure a balanced layout. Use spacers to maintain even gaps between tiles and a notched trowel to apply adhesive evenly. Press the tiles firmly into place and check for levelness as you go.

Grouting and Finishing

Once your tiles are set, it’s time to grout. Choose a grout that complements your tiles and apply it with a float, ensuring it fills all the gaps. Wipe away excess grout with a damp sponge and allow it to dry. Finish off by sealing the grout to protect it from stains and moisture.

Maintenance

Keep your tiled surfaces looking great by using appropriate cleaning products. Regular maintenance will ensure your tiles stay in top condition for years to come.
